We value a can-do spirit
as much as technical skill.

Our culture

Whether you’re just starting your career or bringing years of experience, we value doing things properly. That means caring about the detail, being honest with clients and supporting your teammates.

Benefits & Rewards

We believe great work should be recognised and rewarded. That’s why we offer a competitive salary and a range of benefits, including:

  • 31 days holiday per annum (including bank holidays) increasing on experience.
  • Flexible working
  • Pension scheme
  • Profit related bonus
  • Student mentoring programme
  • Financial support for professional development, membership, and registration
  • A variety of social, team-building and subsidised trips abroad.
  • Structured training and CPD programme.
  • Design technology support with access to the latest software
  • Placements and Mentoring

We maintain close links with local schools and colleges and offer placements for Part 1 architectural graduates before they begin their master’s degrees. For Part 2 graduates working towards qualification at BTP, we provide support with course fees alongside practical experience and mentoring.

Through the RIBA Mentoring Programme, our architects also work with students at Manchester School of Architecture, sharing experience and advice as they take their first steps into the profession.

  • Graduate Programme

BTP works closely with local universities and offers placements for Part 1 and Part 2 students. We’re looking for graduates with a passion for design and learning, strong communication skills and a real interest in housing and high-rise remediation projects.

From day one, you’ll gain varied, hands-on project experience and take on real responsibility, with ongoing support from one of our Directors. In fact, Directors Elliot Denby and Leanne Beirne, who both joined BTP as newly qualified architects, are RIBA Part 3 Professional Studies Advisers and provide in-house guidance throughout your studies. You’ll also follow a structured training programme, including accredited external courses and regular in-house CPD sessions.

  • Work Experience

A week in practice can help young people decide whether architecture is the career for them. We offer GCSE and A-Level students one-week work experience placements during the school holidays, giving them an insight into day-to-day working life and the opportunity to learn alongside our team.

Don't see a role that fits right now? Get in touch anyway. We're always interested in hearing from the right people.

Our culture

At BTP, we've built a practice where good people can do good work. That means a culture of openness, shared accountability, and genuine care for our projects and each other.
