Design and delivery of a new Extra Care facility in Fallowfield.
We were appointed lead architects on the design of a £4.9m development providing new homes for older people in Fallowfield, Manchester. Oaklands Extra Care facility provides residents with their own state-of-the-art private apartments along with round the clock assistance and care. BTP were selected for the commission by Onward Homes following our award-winning work designing homes for older people and those living with dementia with Whitfield & Brown acting as main contractor.
The Extra Care Lite scheme provides 36 individual apartments designed in line with the Happi principles for older persons, who have an excellent place to live with all the necessary care and support. BTP has created a suite on the first floor specifically designed for people living with dementia. It includes apartments, a lounge, quiet room and an outdoor terrace.
Working with BTP we have created an excellent scheme for older people and those living with dementia to call home and enjoy their golden years in.
