BTP drives BIM forward

Well done to BTP Director Vicky Saunders and Associate Manuel Atkinson on recently passing their BIM PIM TIM examinations!

Having gained BIM Accredited Professional Status earlier in the year, this latest BRE Academy qualification enables Vicky and Manny to manage the BIM process and oversee the collaboration between the project team on construction projects.

BIM (Building Information Modelling) Level 2 has been mandated for use on all government funded projects from 2016 and will affect almost everyone working within the built environment, from the design team to commissioning clients, owners and facilities managers.

As pioneers of BIM, BTP has developed a bespoke training course for Registered Providers and Contractors working within the Community Housing Sector advising on their new roles in the process and the changes that will need to be made to working practices to comply with the new regulations.
