BTP celebrates 70 Year Anniversary in Style

BTP Architects celebrated 70 years in the housing sector with clients last week at the Great John Street Hotel in Manchester.  Since Architect, Bernard Taylor first opened the practice’s doors to clients in 1947, it is remarkable what has been achieved.

Today Stockport based BTP are market leaders in social housing and are currently working on 476 homes for Registered Providers, Contractors for affordable and outright sale.  Recent schemes have won RICS NW and LABC awards.  We also have strong sector expertise in education, healthcare and a thriving conservation practice.

The practice is going from strength to strength under the leadership of newly appointed Managing Director, Vicky Saunders.  We are pleased to announce new Director appointments for Manuel Atkinson and Lee Podmore, promotion to Associate for Simon Dennis and four new architectural hires.

Commenting from the party, Vicky said ‘Few practices have moved so successfully with times during the last 70 years and it’s wonderful seeing so many of our clients here tonight supporting us as we move forward.”

Around 60 guests attended the birthday celebrations at Great John Street.

“It was an excellent evening and testimony to the ongoing support and confidence we all share with BTP led by Vicky and supported by a fantastic team.” Derek Humphreys, Wilcowan

Hi” All, I just wanted to say thank you very much for hosting last night. Lovely evening – reminded me I first starting working with Peter Hatfield in 1982!” Wendy Perkins, Southway Housing Trust.
