Project Description

Delivery of 12 supported homes using MMC construction methods

BTP is working in partnership with Torus and Osco Homes to deliver a low-carbon, modular off-site system on a 12-unit scheme comprising 8 flats and 4 bungalows.

The project provides "move-on" accommodation for individuals who face challenges including homelessness.

BTP and Torus support Osco's social ethos. They employ local prison and ex-prison workers who are distant from the employment market, resulting in reoffending rates of just 6%, compared to
up to 59% in the wider prison population.

The Osco system was chosen because it uses no fossil fuels, utilises solar PV panels and has integrated thermaskirt heating. This represents a step change towards new building regulations and the Future Homes Standard.
